The surveyors of DNV Benelux are experienced and qualified to handle all ship types calling the local ports. These include all types of dry bulk carriers, oil - and chemical tankers, gas carriers, vehicle carriers and other general cargo ships. Apart from these, DNV is especially known for its expertise in special ships, such as crane vessels, heavy lift ships, platform supply ships, diving support ships, etc. Many additional class notations are available to confirm compliance of special features of ships with voluntary parts of the DNV Rules.
DNV Rules and guidelines for ship design and construction are among the most technologically advanced in the industry. In its activities, DNV makes use of highly advanced electronic production tools in its Nauticus series of software, covering plan approval and calculations, and operational survey data processing. Through the software of DNV Exchange, shipowners have access to up-to-date information about their ships in the DNV databases.

Fuel Quality Testing and Bunker Quantity Surveys
With a worldwide network in place, DNVPS offers bunker measurement services in over 100 ports and delivers fuel test results, normally within 24 hours of the samples' arrival at its laboratories. These facilities are strategically located in Oslo, Singapore, New Jersey, Rotterdam and Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates.
Apart from laboratory based fuel testing and onboard bunker surveys, DNVPS provides an array of 'value-added' services such as fuel management consulting and 'Bunker Alerts', which advise customers of fuel anomalies in specific ports. DataAccess, an Internet fuel data service allows members of the DNVPS Fuel Quality Testing Programme to download test results from as far back as three years ago. In keeping with the corporate mission, DNVPS successfully balances its commercial activities with a firm commitment to the interests of the international shipping community.
